Our R.A.D. Basic Self-Defense for Women Class is 9 Hours (most often broken down into 2-3 sessions). We are often asked why the class is "so long" and if we could possibly shorten it. Well, what other significant skill could you learn in less than 10 hours? You could learn some new dance moves in less than 10 hours, but would that mean you know how to dance? You could learn to play a song on the piano or guitar in about 10 hours, but does that mean you have learned how to play those instruments? You could take a First Aid/CPR Certification class for between 3-6 hours. Now that is a great idea! I even get "Vitality" points for taking CPR and First Aid through my company's wellness program! First Aid and CPR are both life changing, lifesaving skills. Tell me. If you could invest up to 6 hours to learn how to save someone else’s life, why wouldn’t you invest 9 hours to save your own?
